Wolverhampton Parkrun - 30.01.16

This morning Pete was on his travels again and took part in Wolverhampton Parkrun along with 250 others. This was Pete's first visit to this Parkrun and amazingly this was his 35th different Parkrun. 

Pete finished in 104th place in a time of 26.24.

Bedford Parkrun - 30.01.16

This morning Les and I went up to Bedford for the weekly Parkrun. Despite the cold win and threatening rain there was another very big turnout with 334 runners in action.

We had an odd situation as the e-mail about the result showed a different place and time to the official results, only by one place but odd nonetheless. For this blog post I've used the results that coincided with the finishing place tokens we were given at the finish.

The times were:

Les Potts                         137th in 26.09

Bedford Parkrun - 23 January 2016

Bedfoed Parkrun saw the welcome return of Sarah to Parkrun action and another visit from Liam as he seeks to regain fitness following a lengthy lay off.

There was another good turnout with 368 runners in action.

Times were:

Les Potts                 157th in 26.49
Sarah Eke                334th in 36.05

Milton Keynes Parkrun - 23.01.16

There was a huge turnout at Milton Keynes Parkrun on Saturday with 523 runners taking part. Of these 3 were from FlitwickTri.

It was good to see Steve back in action and he posted a very respectable time.

The results were:

Sian Jones                  473rd in 37.35

Milton Keynes Parkrun - 16 January 2016

On the 16th Pete and Sian were FlitwickTri's representatives at Milton Keynes Parkrun. There was a good turnout of other runners as 474 runners took part.

The times were:

Pete Jones                          27.21 in 211th place
Sian Jones                           38.49 in 440th place.

Bedford Parkrun - 9 January 2016

A very wet Bedford Park greeted runners for the weekly parkrun and there were many puddles along the route. This didn't deter a remarkable number of runners, 354 this week, turning out for the run. I have a feeling there were a few New Year's resolutions behind this. Thankfully the rain eased off and by the time the run was under way the rain had stopped.

It was just Pete, Sian and yours truly in action for FlitwickTri this week and our results were:

Pete Jones                          130th in 26.39
Sian Jones                           335th in 37.59

Parkrun Pete's busy weekend

Pete was a very busy boy over the New Year period managing a remarkable 3 parkruns in 2 days. 

On New Year's Day he ran at 9.00am at Aylesbury Parkrun finishing in 127th place of a field of 188 runners in a time of 28.21. 

From Aylesbury he headed over to Rushmere Parkrun. This is a cross country run in Rushmere Country Park near Leighton Buzzard. Pete finished in 104th place from a field of 145 runners in a time of 33.08.

Not content with this Pete was back in action on 2nd January at Worcester Parkrun. This a really big event and on the 2nd there were 464 runners taking part. Pete finished in 244th place in a time of 29.13. No doubt a well earned sit down followed.
