There must have been something in the air in Bedford this morning as out of the 6 FlitwickTri members taking part 4 of them achieved new PBs. These were (in finishing order) Les, Fiona, Ellen and Sian.
The times were:
Pete Jones 23.43
Les Potts 23.46
Fiona Jones 26.47
Ellen Wright 30.16
Chris Wright 30.18
Sian Jones 35.14
Lois has been banned from running by her Chiropractor but walked the 5K route the opposite way in 46 minutes.
Well done everyone.
Chris

Movember Run MK - 24.11.13.
A chilly morning greeted the 4 FlitwickTri members who were due to take part in the 2013 Movember Run in MK. All were sporting impressive Mo's as can be seen in the photos below. There was a very good turnout with 729 runners taking part in the 10K race, some in very impressive fancy dress.
Unfortunately both Jason and Les were carrying injuries and were not able to run. Their support was however very much appreciated as were Jason's photographic skills.
The course is very undulating with a particularly tough section from 5k to 8k.
The times were:
Chris Wright 84th in 48.02
Pete Jones 205th in 53.35

Bedford Parkrun - 23.11.13
This morning 7 of us travelled up to Bedford for the week's Parkrun. It was much drier underfoot but whilst there was no frost the weather was pretty cold. This didn't hinder Fiona's running however as she set a new PB.
Les, Pete and I were taking things a bit easier ahead of the Movember run tomorrow but still enjoyed a run out.
The times were:
Les Potts 26.04
Pete Jones 27.07
Fiona Jones 27.08
Ellen Wright 33.53
Chris Wright 33.55
Sian Jones 39.12
Lois Wright 42.12
Well done everyone.

Pete's weekend - 16 & 17 November
Had a great weekend of runs. I ran the Worcester Parkrun on Sat and the Croome Capability Canter on Sun.
I manage to knock nearly two and a half minutes off my Parkrum pb at Worcester, which is largely a cross country bringing it down from 26m 44s to 24m 18s.
On Sunday I was not sure if my legs would hold up for Croome which is a 10k cross country – including 2 wading streams. This being my first time doing a 10k Xcountry I was pleased with my 59m50s, taking into account the slopes and fields and water involved. It was a fun event with a winning time of 40min.

The times were:
Les Potts 24.16
Ellen Wright 31.31
Chris Wright 31.33
Well done all.

Bedford Parkrun - 09.11.13
A slightly cooler but thankfully dry morning greeted parkrunners to Bedford Park this morning. The paths were still damp with lots of leaves which made things a bit slippery but thankfully this did not become an issue.
Three of us took part and the times were:
Chris Wright 21.41
Pete Jones 23.53
Les Potts 24.39

Falkirk Parkrun - 02.11.13
Whilst in Scotland for the weekend I took the opportunity to try a different Parkrun with the most convenient being Falkirk .
Oddly it takes place at 9.30am rather than our usual 9am in the grounds of Calendar House & Park. Needless to say it was very scenic and very cold. The course was undulating with virtually no flat parts – something we are not used to and was mainly on trail paths through some very nice woods.
I was 83rd out of 160 runners coming in at 25m 50s.

Bedford Parkrun - 02.11.13
I entered the Bedford parkrun this week after a few weeks absence. My time was given as 23.16 which was a few seconds quicker than I timed myself which was quite significant as that meant it was officially a PB whereas I had thought I had missed out by a couple of seconds. I finished 39th out of 168.
